There are many reasons why someone may prefer online counselling to the traditional face-to-face office setting. It may be personal choice or comfort level, or be related to distance from the service, access to transportation, anxiety level, or disability.
As online services have grown in many areas, and with the inception of telehealth services, online counselling and psychological services have also grown in popularity. Using high speed internet and a webcam you can easily participate in confidential online counselling. I use an online program developed specifically for psychologists and doctors to allow for complete confidentiality. Discussion about issues and cognitive behavioural therapy take place in 50 minute online sessions. Any resources provided or ‘homework’ assignments are provided in real time through the online session! Payments can be made directly through the session as well. You don’t need to download any programs or use difficult instructions – it’s a very simple and streamlined process!
If you have any questions, or for a free 15 minute online consult, please do not hesitate to contact me.
